Adventure Racing & Outdoors
- http://www.tktrackers.com – the home of the Tali Karng Trackers. My own adventure racing team website, which I’m co-captain of. A little out of date for 2009, the team has been still competing, just not updating – we will be getting back into the Rogaines, 24 hour races and MTB Epics this year. 2008 saw some of the team head interstate for job relocations, myself having our baby son arrive and Mick dealing with a small thing called the Financial Crisis in relation to his job. However 2009, we’re back and getting ready to gear up. Big time.
- http://www.rebeccarusch.com – Rebecca Rusch Official website. One of the toughest endurance athletes in the world. I absolutely admire her dedication, commitment and lifestyle approach.
- http://rebeccarusch.wordpress.com – Rebecca Rusch’s Blog
- http://www.mikekloser.com – Mike Kloser website + blog. Pushing 50, a guy that doesn’t know when to stop. Captain of Team Nike (formerly Nike ACG) for a number of years, he is one of my all time inspirations and heroes. His honour role reads like nothing else on this earth.
- http://www.eliteadventureteam.com – home of Team Nike, “The World’s Winningest Adventure Racing Team”.
- http://rustykranks.wordpress.com/ – formerly “On Ya Bike” the basis is around 20 Guys on mountain bikes getting out there and blazing the singletrack. All welcome, beginners, intermediate to expert and the only pre-requisite is a smile on your face and sunny disposition.
Blogs – General Interest
- http://www.feltracing.blogspot.com – And yes, I know I ride a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR. My planned road bike will be a Felt though. This blog is entertaining and gives a highlight of places to ride both on and off road.
- http://thisisindexed.com – regularly updated, the premise is simple, thought provoking and interesting.
- http://www.thecoolhunter.com.au – Daily eye candy, with a focus on industrial design aspects crossing fashion, architecture, Web 2.0, automotive. Addictive to us types that like to look at “nice” things.
- http://www.germancarblog.com – Industry coverage and insight into the German Auto industry, with spy photos, media/press releases of vehicles and data around safety, performance and efficiency gains.
- http://www.postsecret.blogspot.com – Voyeuristic insight to other peoples lives. One of the oldest blogs around, which has become a cultural phenomenon.

Entertaining recount of the first suburb I grew up in – Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia. Reviews of local restaurants, galleries, people and places, with the occasional rant thrown in. - http://www.watchtheguild.com/ For any of you that are online gamers, this web series will strike a chord as it follows the trials and tribulations of an online gaming guild. Into its 2nd season, it hit the big time late last year being picked up by the Microsoft Xbox Network and crossing offline into a DVD series. Geeky + Cool = Geek Chic.
- http://www.mtblawgirl.com/ Intelligently written blog from Jennifer Cochran, an Attorney (Lawyer in our parlance) who in her own words: “I’m an attorney living and riding in Austin. I’ve also lived in Boston, Dallas, and Nashville. I usually blog about life in Austin, mountain biking, legal issues and legislation affecting cyclists, cycling as transportation, running, and anything else that amuses or angers me.” Inspirational commitment to furthering the worthy cause of a healthier lifestyle.
- http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/ Scott Schumen has a cool life – he just wanders around cities across the world and takes photos of trendy looking people. I met him recently at Cutler & Co. when he was in Melbourne and was struck with what a nice down to earth guy he was. Tae was insanely annoyed that she didn’t get an invite, yet Simon & Jess did. Sorry Tae!
- http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/ Not a racist site, this started off as a joke amongst friends and has become one of the most visited blogs around. Recently (August 09) Christian Lander visited Melbourne and nominated Nth Fitzroy as the whitest of suburbs. Considering I grew up there, and my friend Tae has labelled me the “whitest Asian Guy in Melbourne”, lends credibility to his science. Tae calls herself a “banana” – yellow on the outside, white on the outside, and she is definitely the “whitest Asian Girl in Melbourne”. Funny, Funny, Funny.
Blogs – Friends
- JE Photo Jessica Edgar Photo – Jess is a Melbourne based photographer for hire, who has an interior design/architecture background which imbues her work with a natural sense of balance and composition. Her blog showcases regular updates of her work, which has a very traditional film like depth and colour and feel to it, as opposed to all that HDR that’s going about these days.
- kyla brettle… B L O G S Melbourne based producer at ABC Radio National’s Music Unit and Lecturer in Radio and Communication at RMIT University.
- Nick’s Overseas Adventures – Nick writes a witty blog observing the crazy life he is living with his lovely new wife Sarah in far away Dubai. Working in environmental sustainability engineering, he has his work cut out in what is probably the most environmentally unsustainable built environment in the world.
- up, up and away – Ebony’s blog is a more of a photo journal cataloging her travels and musings both in our fair city and abroad.
- Graceful Taylor – Darren & Grace run their marketing and branding agency with this little foray into digital to throw up some crafted ideas and observations. Very nice.
